Job Description

PURPOSE

To work as part of the ECB case management team to undertake high quality vetting assessments for those wishing to work with children across the cricket network.

YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF 

  • You want to apply your existing experience and knowledge in safeguarding to support the ECB in its commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and Adults and Risk in cricket. 

  • You are committed to the principles of safer recruitment in creating safe places for children and adults at risk. 

  • You enjoy the challenge of managing a varied caseload within a busy team. 

YOU’LL BE DOING 

  • Completing high quality vetting assessments for those applying to work with children and adults at risk in cricket. 

  • Working closely with the ECB customer support team, ECB safeguarding team and our network of County Safeguarding Officers to ensure the efficient and safe administration of the safer recruitment process. 

  • Taking responsibility for the efficient administration of the ECB vetting panel. 

  • Supporting the development of safer recruitment training throughout the organisation and cricket network. 

 

YOU’LL HAVE 

  • An understanding of and commitment to excellent safer recruitment practice. 

  • Knowledge of criminal offences and the ability to accurately assess risk relating to different offences. 

  • Experience of undertaking assessments with sensitivity and discretion. 

  • Excellent administration skills and the ability to effectively manage systems using databases and Microsoft applications. 

  • The ability to work flexibly as part of a team. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills 

  • The ability to use supervision effectively to support good safeguarding practice.
