Job Description
Purpose of Job
As Fundraising Events Coordinator you’ll be a vital part of the team that deliver our portfolio of fundraising events across our annual campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the vital work Comic Relief does by helping to shape our high profile broadcast challenges, develop new live fundraising event ideas, and work with teams from all areas of the organisation to bring our events to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing support to the Fundraising Events Lead in scoping, planning, and delivering high-profile fundraising events as part of our Red Nose Day campaign and other annual activity, such as winter campaigns and Sport Relief campaigns
Contribute ideas to help shape future events and work with the relevant teams and Fundraising Events Lead to bring these ideas to life
Facilitating key meetings with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating diaries and issuing meeting agendas
Producing regular reports on the progress of our fundraising events
Producing minutes and action lists from key meetings and ensuring workstreams are keeping up to date with all tasks
Leading on administrative aspects of Fundraising Event planning and delivery
Assisting teams from across the organisation, where required, with a variety of tasks related to the scoping, delivery, and promotion of Fundraising Events – this could include coordinating asset gathering shoots, media days and other events related to the promotion, delivery, and celebration of our activity
Supporting the delivery of live fundraising events on the ground, working with delivery and broadcast partners, leading on activity streams as and when required
Contributing to the monitoring, sharing, and evaluating of our Fundraising Events by capturing lessons learned and helping to shape recommendations for future improvements
Where required, assisting the wider Fundraising and Projects Team with the delivery of our portfolio of campaign activity
Essential Education and Competencies:
Demonstrable experience of the coordination of high-profile live events involving multiple stakeholders and partners
Strong organisational and time management skills – planning, managing, monitoring and prioritising
Competent in the use of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
Pro-active attitude with great attention to detail
Effective relationship builder with great communication skills
Collaborative worker who can work closely with all teams and communicate effectively
Resilient and calm under pressure, with the ability to stay the course during the height of delivery
Desirable Skills and Competencies:

Experience working in charity or public fundraising
Experience supporting, coordinating or managing the planning and delivery of competitive sporting events, public participation events, music events or festivals
