Job Description
This role is offered on a hybrid contract giving you the opportunity to also work from home three days a week.
Purpose of job:
Partnerships are at the heart of Comic Relief. The New Partnerships Manager will secure six and seven figure partnerships with companies and brands. To do so, this role will work closely with colleagues to develop compelling and commercially attractive partnership propositions for Comic Relief and our campaigns including Red Nose Day and Sport Relief.
Key responsibilities:
To secure new high value partners for Comic Relief, including campaign partners for Red Nose Day and Sport Relief , in line with our social change strategy and organisational priorities.
Identify prospects and secure meetings with leading brands through appropriate prospecting methods, including outreach and networking .
Work with relevant teams across Comic Relief to develop compelling propositions and pitches to engage, excite and secure new partners.
Liaise with other stakeholders across Comic Relief in the development of partnership propositions and pitches including colleagues from Campaign Strategy, Talent, Funding and Content teams.
Ensure a smooth transition of new corporate relationships across the wider Partnerships team.
To be accountable for a fixed income amount of new business annually.
To proactively work with the Finance and Legal teams to ensure that all new partnerships have a strong contractual framework.
Work across all areas of high value fundraising to maximise cross sector opportunities.
Person specification
Essential criteria
Proven demonstration of hitting sales/fundraising targets.
Proven experience of negotiating and securing six figure multi-faceted corporate partnerships.
Exceptional communication, networking, influencing and persuading skills.
Building and sustaining effective working relationships both internally and externally.
Experience of dealing directly with senior stakeholders.
A passion for approaching and pitching to big brands and businesses.
Desirable criteria
Experience of securing £1m+ multi year partnerships.
Experience of working in partnership with major UK consumer facing brands and companies.
Experience of developing funding propositions with impact and funding teams.
