Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Social Media and Content Manager to develop an audience-first and always-on approach to Red Nose Day 2022

  • Scheduling and posting, as well as writing engaging and entertaining copy for different platforms. Being able to communicate a strong message in less than 280 characters is essential.

  • Assisting with creative brainstorming and idea generation.

  • Assisting the Social Media and Content Manager with populating Comic Relief social media pages with vibrant, funny and engaging content

Essential skills and experience

  • Fun and full of energy! Great sense of humour and a team player.

  • Oodles of digital confidence. The nuances of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn and YouTube come to you like a second language.

  • Experience in social media marketing

  • Know your way around social media analytical tools such as Facebook Business Manager, Twitter Analytics and Sprout Social.

  • Able to analyse and glean actionable insights from data

  • Understand the importance of brand alignment across all social media platforms.

  • Great research skills – know how to spot a good shareable article, or a funny relatable meme, or even an emerging hashtag trend.

  • Good knowledge of social media trends and how different audiences and demographics interact with social media on a daily basis.

  • Excellent community management skills – a warm, fun and engaging and writing manner

  • Audience-focussed and a good understanding of what people do and don’t engage with.

  • A challenger! Break down boundaries, try new things, and bring your creativity to the table.

  • Someone with knowledge of comedy, sport and online talent and influencers.

  • An understanding of escalation procedures where appropriate.   

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of Facebook and Twitter ads
