Job Description
Do you like supporting the development of innovative and transformative ideas? Are you interested in being part of a busy Project Management team that help grow the UK Space sector? If so, you may be who we’re looking for.
We are a growing innovation organisation and we’re working on a portfolio of challenging and exciting projects. We are looking for a Project Manager to work on the successful delivery of various projects at the Catapult.
Our Project Managers work on a variety of projects that will challenge and help you grow in a unique environment.
Key responsibilities:
Engaging with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, and organising and participating in key stakeholder meetings
Control and direct project plans and work hours, as well as organising and participating in stakeholder meetings
Apply strategic mitigation and leadership across the world that you do
Setting and keeping to project schedules
Managing project budgets and expenditures
Ensure that project deadlines and deliverables are met in a timely manner
Risk and issue management
Skills & Experience required:
Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills with excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team and to engage with all team members and stakeholders and be able to tailor their communication style accordingly.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project.
Ability to work on tight deadlines, multi-task and work on multiple deliverables simultaneously.
Show understanding of the project management lifecycle and have experience of applying of it in a project context.
Have experience of management of budgets, issues, actions and risks
Strong organisational skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve a variety of project and process issues.
Experience of applying Prince2, APM, Agile or other Project Management methodology required.

You are successfully managing and shaping projects which will involve multiple teams and organisations ranging from academia, small/medium enterprises through to large multi-nationals.
You are building strong relationships with key stakeholders and demonstrating your capability for good stakeholder management.
You are managing and delivering the whole life cycle of a project with positive feedback from all internal and external stakeholders.
You are successfully building strong relationships with all colleagues across the Catapult and providing project management expertise.
You are reviewing and checking data to ensure issues are identified at the earliest opportunity.
You are contributing to the development and continuous improvements of the process and systems in use.
The purpose of your team:
The Delivery team manage a vast number of the projects within the Catapult to a successful outcome. The team works closely with all departments within the Catapult as well as a varied range of UK and international stakeholders and SME’s to pull together and manage the resources required for successful delivery of a varied range of projects across all industries.
