Business Strategy Consultant

We are currently seeking a Business Strategy Consultant to work within our Business Growth team. The team is responsible for driving commercial development within the UK space sector including supporting clients with international expansion and investment opportunities. Working in close partnership with our technical teams, you will contribute to proposition development, opportunity generation, and the successful delivery of client consulting engagements.
Reporting into a Lead Consultant, this is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It requires an understanding of how to scope & deliver impactful consulting engagements and associated strategic analyses to support clients in achieving desired growth outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Take responsibility for elements of a larger consulting engagement.
Conduct data-centric strategic analyses of client businesses and their associated market opportunities using established frameworks.
Support the scoping of client needs into a clear scheme of work with associated realistic delivery plans.
Track activity (own and other peoples) against a delivery plan, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
Manage multiple mid-level client relationships.
Produce information artefacts that are accurate, current, relevant and easily understood by the intended audience.
Delivers clear, professional, and confident presentations to team and to clients, given the opportunity.
Apply the principles of innovation and how industries evolve to identify innovative, high-potential (client) businesses.
Identify new strategy consulting leads and prospects and work closely with the ‘work winning services’ team to help develop large industry shaping prospects.
Skills & Experience required:
Degree qualified preferably in a business, science or engineering discipline or equivalent experience with an appreciation and understanding of the space sector, its opportunities, and challenges (business knowledge essential, space sector knowledge desirable)
Good business acumen and a confident speaker, presenter and listener. Experience working in either strategy, management, business, or technology consulting is essential.
Experience supporting the development of propositions into a client organisation.
Experience in generating commercial and collaborative opportunities as part of a team.
Effective delivery for client organisations in both the public and private sector.
The ideal candidate will have experience of:
