Job Description
PURPOSE
Key to our collective success in delivering the most inclusive team sport is our ability to harness and galvanise the 38 Cricket Boards/Foundations and 18 First Class Counties in delivering Inspiring Generations.
You will play a key role in managing the relationship between ECB and our Cricket Board/Foundation partners, acting as a critical friend through effective partnership and performance management to ensure return on the game’s investment. Responsible for counties of a similar size and role you will support organisations, ensuring compliance against standards whilst also enabling and supporting Cricket Boards/Foundations to realise their potential through effective County Wide Strategic Plans and operational excellence.
You will be linking counties nationally to drive greater sharing of best practice and greater connectivity within and between Cricket Boards/Foundations. You will be challenged in driving a culture of continual improvement using insight to enable and empower effective decision making.
Key to the success of this role is the ability to influence and support governance reform, whilst working in a supportive and challenging manner to deliver results.
You will play a key role in influencing, coaching and enabling whilst ensuring as a game we achieve our ambition of making “Cricket a game for me”.

YOU’LL BE DOING
Working closely with the leadership of your Cricket Boards/Foundations to foster high trust relationships, understanding their business, their aims, and objectives.
Coaching and supporting Counties in the development of their Countywide strategies and operational plans, ensuring alignment with Inspiring Generations.
Using insight to hold in-depth, high-quality performance conversations, supporting Counties to identify opportunities and growth priorities.
Supporting and challenging Cricket Boards/Foundations to ensure compliance against the County Partnership Agreement minimum standards. Monitoring implementation of action plans as required.
Identifying and developing growth opportunities within and between organisations, connecting Counties nationally
Working closely with senior management of the ECB (including Board representatives) to foster stronger stakeholder relationships
Responsibility to support and attend regional, CB Board meetings and 1-2-1’s as appropriate.
Working closely with ECB departments to ensure excellent services are provided to Counties.
Investment management of the Game Changer Fund and others as appropriate
Relationship management and communication, you will play a key role in ensuring two-way communication between the ECB and county partners
YOU’LL HAVE
Outstanding relationship management skills and exceptional levels of emotional intelligence
Excellent communication skills
Confidence and the ability to influence “C” suite executives
Experience in high quality partnership and performance management
Experience in managing investment, with an understanding of finances and business operations
Experience in business development and change management, including governance reform
Experience in strategy development and operational delivery.
Experience in revenue generation and the charitable sector is desirable but not essential
