Job Description
Responsibilities
Develop and manage a high performing department, leveraging internal and/or external relationships.
Responsible for all decisions relating to the performance and function of the curriculum delivery department.
Using our programme management and curriculum design approach, and working with our curriculum partners, oversee the successful creation of our full curriculum packages (~18 subjects and ~15,000 lessons).
Oversee curriculum partner relationships and contract performance management.
Represent Oak externally at conferences, webinars and subject leadership events, both in-person and online.
Contribute to the strategy, planning and model the culture of the organisation.
Manage a departmental budget (minimum of 6-figures).
Member of the Oak leadership team.
Work in cross-functional and product oriented squads with colleagues from across the organisation, as required.
Deputise for the Director of Education and take on other general responsibilities as required.
Knowledge, skills and experience
5+ years experience in leading & managing high quality programme delivery.
Experience of recruiting, developing and managing a high performing department.
Experience of managing external partners or stakeholders to deliver projects or specific goals.
Experience of managing a 6 figure budget.
Knowledge of education policy, digital resource creation and digital standards.
Working knowledge of the National Curriculum in England and how schools operate.
The successful candidate will have a desire to contribute in all areas to ensure Oak is successful. You will be comfortable working at pace and you will continuously look at ways that the team can work more smartly. You will be excellent at working as part of a remote team, building relationships and managing your time effectively.
