Job Description
Following a period of sustained growth and external investment, Arrival is building a Talent Solutions team to meet significant market demand with a ground-breaking, market disrupting talent and recruitment proposition.
As demand for our services expands and the breadth and number of roles increases, we are looking for a Recruitment and Resourcing Manager to help us fulfil our candidate roles. We expect you to do this by engaging with our existing network of socially and ethnically diverse talent, as well as marketing Arrival to future talent and in turn expanding our Arrival Talent Network.
This is a new role, so you will also put in systems and processes to enable the onboarding of candidates, as well as running a database of available and interested talent.
You'll ideally have significant experience in external recruitment and or agency work; or in-house corporate talent or people experience, with a track-record of talent engagement, assessment, management, development and placement.
Purpose
To attract exciting and smart candidates from socially and ethnically diverse backgrounds, who want to work with us for their recruitment needs and who become advocates for Arrival.
You’ll understand all the talent in our network, their career interest, motivations, capabilities and be able to present them for recruitment, programmes and events on demand. And are able to complete target lists on demand against client talent or role requirements.
You’ll build on Arrival’s reputation, so that our talent trusts you and the Arrival brand, ensure they engage, turn up and apply for any appropriate opportunities.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Attract and engage talent
Raise and establish Arrival’s profile with best UK career minded and career focused socially and ethnically diverse candidates age 18-35.
Attract and engage talent to career network service and opportunities, so they register and are onboarded to our network
Rapidly and significantly grow our network of available candidates
Create and deliver targeted on/offline career and leadership development content and events
Authentically connect and build relationships and networks
Fulfil client roles
Present candidates that fit our clients’ targets and aspirations
Filter and shortlist CVs and applications
Source, screen and interview suitable candidates
Support candidates through the interview and selection process
Conduct and record reference checks
Place candidates into our key job openings
Provide outstanding customer service to candidates and clients
Promote job openings
Research and choose job advertising options, which work best
Use social media in the most effective way to create content, build awareness, reach talent and promote job opportunities
Build systems and processes
Put systems and process in place to support candidate recruitment, onboarding and general candidate relationship management
Work in partnership with management to research and design a high quality, and consistent recruitment strategy
Implement reporting systems to ensure cost targets are met and suggest improvements
Key Skills and Attributes
To be successful in this role, you will need to be strongly connected to our core purpose and mission, as well as an understanding of diversity and how this impacts and connects with resourcing.
You are commercial and entrepreneurial. You are commercially-aware, and market-attuned, and enjoy the freedoms and responsibilities of working in a small team, without a large corporate infrastructure
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, build easy rapport with candidates and clients while retaining support and professionalism to our talent. You listen carefully to others, understanding what they're trying to achieve.
You are organised and can manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently while giving clients and candidates a seamless and first-class experience of working with Arrival.
You are able to operate in a fast-paced, constantly evolving small-team environment, with little infrastructure - and be able to identify and prioritise the highest impact activities in the short-term, whilst building the key processes and systems that will build solid growth foundations.
You are a relationship builder. You build and maintain effective relationships, internally and externally, to achieve our organisational goals.
As an SME with big ambitions, our ways of working will evolve over the coming years, however, openness and collaboration will continue to be a cornerstone of how we work. We’re looking for someone who will thrive in that environment.
You can either draw upon your own existing diverse talent networks, or can build a digital presence and engage and build up a network at speed.
