Job Description
Learning and Development Partner – Maternity cover FTC 12 months
The Challenge:

We are currently seeking a L&D Partner to work with our People Team. Working collaboratively, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and evaluating learning and development programme that foster a culture of innovation and learning. Your focus will also be offering business partnering to People Managers across the business and provide guidance and support to optimise performance and development within our teams.
Reporting into Director of People and Organisational Design, this is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It requires the individual to work closely with various stakeholders develop various learning activities and measure the impact of all learning initiatives. Location is flexible with our principal offices in Harwell Oxfordshire, the role requires the individual to travel to our Harwell office once a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships across the organisation and collaborate with People Managers to understand their needs, challenges and opportunities.
Provide proactive guidance and support to meet both individual and Organisational requirements around learning and development.
Utilise your business knowledge and data-driven insights to develop targeted learning strategies and solutions with demonstrable ROI.
Design engaging and experiential learning experiences for all learners that leverage innovative methodologies, such as design thinking, agile learning, and collaborative problem-solving.
Continuously enhance our learning and development programs based on employees’ feedback, emerging trends and best practices in innovation and learning.
Partner with People manager to support and advise on succession planning, team structures and employee relations issues.
Discreet deliverables for this 12-month appointment:
Continue the implementation and deployment of Culture Amp, ensuring delivery of requirements to timelines and understanding and tackling any barriers to adoption.
Maintain and manage the Learning Management System, producing reports on usage and uptake.
Curate and design personalised learning and onboarding journeys as needed on the LMS.
Create and deploy a communication and engagement strategy for Learning and Development.
Support the Apprenticeship Programme.
Develop Mentoring and Coaching programme.
Develop a Job Shadowing activity.
Organise activities and take responsibility for Learning at Work week 2024.
Continuously enhance our learning programs based on employees’ feedback, emerging trends and best practices in innovation and learnin
Skills & Experience required:
You will understand and know to design and implement L&D Framework and a Learning Needs Analysis.
Have experience with Learning Management Systems.
Able to offer our employees and managers advice in a variety of situations.
The ideal candidate will have Learning and Development experience (necessary) and Business Partnering experience (desirable).
Desirable experience in a variety of HR topics such as resourcing, ER issues, compensation and benefits etc.
Experience in working within a busy but small team, dealing with a variety of questions and a used to having varied workload.
Ability to effectively prioritise and reprioritise based on nature of demands.

Qualifications:
Not essential, but useful CIPD Level 5 in People Management.
Not essential but desirable, knowledge in Insights Methodology.
