Job Description

As our Photography Co-Ordinator you will be working closely with the Photography and Visual Lead across all aspects of Comic Relief’s photography department, assisting in the production of Comic Relief photoshoots both in the UK and Internationally. You will be responsible for the organisation, management and workflow of all incoming content and the day to day running of our Digital Asset Management System. This role is crucial in the smooth and efficient supply of

content to the wider organisation in support of our fundraising activities.

Key responsibilities:

Digital Asset Management

  • Managing incoming content, checking quality, inputting metadata and uploading to our Digital Asset Management system.

  • Ensuring accurate image usage rights and consent information are integrated into our metadata.

  • Supplying assets and responding to image requests from across the business, helping to identify the best images to suit their requirements.

  • Managing our photography archive and the migration of appropriate content to Getty Images for syndication.

  • Continually striving to improve workflow, improving DAM taxonomies and overall archive organisation.

Photography Production and Post Production

  • Working closely with the Photography Lead to come up with creative ideas and solutions for incoming briefs.

  • Assisting in all things production, from call sheets, to booking studios and suppliers.

  • Basic retouching, cropping and colour balancing of images in lightroom when required, to keep our quality and style consistent.

  • Occasional travel and photography when required

  • Manage any external retouching resources ensuring highest quality is delivered on brief.

Person specification

Essential criteria

  • Experience using Digital Asset Management systems

  • Photography skills are essential

  • Excellent knowledge of image editing software including photoshop, lightroom etc

  • Adobe photoshop and retouching skills are required, colour balancing, cropping etc.

  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Fast paced role so must be able to multi-task and prioritise effectively to meet tight deadlines.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Desirable criteria

  • Good knowledge of image libraries and image licensing

  • Photography production experience

  • A good understanding of GDPR.
