Job Description
The Partnership and Accounting Associate will work closely with the Partnership Manager to support the management of key relationships with external publishing partners, to accurately record publishing activity and income, documenting the key learnings and outcomes of the each partnership so that this can be built on and understood moving forward.
Note: this is a part time role - 2 days per week.
Key Accountabilities / Objectives
To work closely with colleagues across Comic Relief ensuring that financial contributions from external publishers and partners are accurately recorded, invoiced and processed for payment, in line with our agreements with multi-national publishers globally.
To manage the accounts and relationships set out in the publishers agreement and contract.
Reconcile complex statements and income from publishing rights with numerous international publishers, accurately recording and income to provide reports internally and to external partners
Work closely with key stakeholders across Comic Relief including the finance and legal teams to ensure we meet our commitments to partners and with publishers
To document key learnings and outcomes of the partnerships so this can be built on and understood moving forward, simplifying processes while maintaining integrity in our financial dealings
Actively participate in collaborative Cross-functional working both within the Commercial and Partnerships department and across the wider organisation.
Essential Skills and Competencies
Experience working with major UK and global brands and companies.
Experience of accounting, bookkeeping or accounts reconciliation
Experience of managing external relationships
Experience of working with a consumer-facing brand in the corporate or voluntary sector
Experience of communicating with the public.
Strong attention to detail - To produce work, which is consistently accurate and which fits the purpose for which it was intended.
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
A proactive, positive and fun individual with a “can do” attitude.
