Job Description
PURPOSE
This person will play a critical role in inspiring and developing the next generation of world-class England players. Working primarily within the England Lions / England A setup this role will lead the physical preparation of the England Lions so that they are prepared to excel on the international stage.
Applications will for this role will be open until 23rd July 2025 with a view to interviewing on 1st August 2025.

YOU’LL BE DOING
Lead individual and group based physical preparation to England Lions during training camps and competitive series.
Lead and shape the physical preparation of the highest potential players.
Collaborate with Professional County Club Science and Medicine Teams and coaching staff to provide integrated player support both on and off programme for identified high potential players.
Work with the nutritionist, psychologist and physiotherapist to ensure the highest standards of performance preparation in all relevant areas (nutritional demands, injury resilience, rehabilitation, holistic approach).
Coordinate the delivery of performance science interventions e.g. heat acclimation, hydration, sleep and travel hygiene to the team.
Work with coaches and practitioners to optimise the physical preparation and support to all England Development Contract players.
Line manage a consultant S&C coach to deliver physical preparation support to the Young Lions.
Provide physical preparation support to England Men’s centrally contracted players as required. This includes rehabilitation and other physical preparation support
Lead the physical preparation support for the Bunbury & Super 4’s festivals, including managing external S&C Consultants, and organising physical profiling.
Contribute to the development of high standards of physical preparation for England players within the England cricket pathway and across the Professional County Club game.
YOU’LL HAVE
Graduate qualifications in Sports Science and/or Strength & Conditioning
UKSCA accreditation
A track record of success in developing the physical qualities of elite athletes and teams within elite sport
Experience in travelling with teams and the management and delivery of S&C programs in remote locations
Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary Science & Medicine Team
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Experience of coordinating integrated player support initiatives
Strong computer skills
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Current basic life support training
Full Driver’s license
