Job Description
Job title: Non-Executive Catapult Advisory Group
The Satellite Applications Catapult is looking for 3 new members to join its Non-Executive Catapult Advisory Group.
The Satellite Applications Catapult is a not-for-profit organisation, created to foster growth across the economy through the exploitation of Space. Our primary purpose is to promote, develop and facilitate the commercialisation and advancement of the UK Space industry and promote the relevance of its applications to daily life. We act as a neutral, trusted entry point to an entire network of expertise in Space and Satellite applications development across government, academia and industry.
The Catapult is looking for subject matter experts to join the Catapult Advisory Group (CAG) who are stimulated by the prospect of playing an important role in our innovative and exciting organisation. You will have the skills and knowledge to provide objective and independent advice, using subject matter expertise gained in your own industry.
The role of the CAG is to provide challenge to the Executive Management Team and also to advise the Catapult Board. The CAG reviews the plans of the Catapult and comments on the timeliness and appropriateness of activities and the risks and opportunities of these plans.
The membership of the CAG is diverse, and the current representatives are from many different industries - https://sa.catapult.org.uk/cag/. The CAG meets four times per year with the meetings scheduled at least 6 months in advance; 50% of the meetings are virtual, one is held in London and one at the home of the Satellite Applications Catapult in Harwell, Oxfordshire.
Desirable Sector Knowledge:
The CAG has a cross-section of industry knowledge, and it would be ideal but not essential if you had experience in any of the following areas:

Mining/ Minerals
Semiconductor
Emergency Services
Agri-tech
Food Supply Chain
Defence
Finance
Space
Space Academia

The position is non-remunerated (candidates are not eligible for the company benefits listed on the advert main page).
