Job Description

This role is offered on a hybrid contract giving you the opportunity to also work from home 1 day a week.

PURPOSE OF JOB: 

The Fundraising & PR team Associate will be responsible for providing administrative and project support across the Fundraising & PR Team in order to support the delivery of the Fundraising & PR team strategy and associated plans. The role will directly support annual and ongoing planning, monitoring and evaluation of performance, team development and internal communications initiatives, as well as supporting across organisational campaigns, including Red Nose Day, Sport Relief and other year-round activities, including delivering bespoke projects and liaising directly with supporters in support of their fundraising ambitions.  Each postholder will be allocated ‘Home Teams’ across the FR&PR team with whom they will specifically work on projects and initiatives.

Key responsibilities: ​ 

  • Work in support of the Director of Fundraising and FR&PR leadership team to support on diary management and the delivery of administrative tasks across the Fundraising & PR Team.  

Working with the Fundraising and PR Teams on the following responsibilities:

  • lead the onboarding and offboarding process across the FR&PR team developing documentation and processes and ensuring a positive experience for new starters and leavers.

  • lead on agreed internal communication projects across the team, to ensure team members are equipped with the information they need to be successful in their roles, including management of team wide processes and systems.

  •  Lead on logistical planning and delivery of team events and activities, specifically but not limited to away days, training and team engagement activities.

  • support the planning, monitoring and evaluation processes across the team, working with Director and Heads of to develop tools and assets related to team strategy and plans. 

Work with ‘Home teams’ and the Supporter Care team on the following responsibilities:

  • liaise with and provide support on enquiries and complaints, ensuring our dealings with supporters are inspiring, accurate and managed effectively within agreed timeframes 

  • actively steward cohorts of donors / partners as briefed by ‘Home Team’ colleagues 

  • take on bespoke fundraising and / or PR projects as part of campaigns and year round initiatives 

  • Participate in a wide-cross section of initiatives designed to raise awareness and funds in support of Comic Relief’s work. 

Person Specification

Essential criteria: 

  • Experience of coordinating multiple projects, with proven administration, organisational and time-management skills 

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal 

  • Strong attention to detail – to produce work, which is consistently accurate, and which fits the purpose for which it was intended 

  • Experience of delivering excellent fundraiser (or customer) support 

  • Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines 

  • A positive, proactive and solution orientated approach

  • Able to demonstrate willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced, high impact environment.   

Desirable criteria: 

  • Experience of supporting the delivery of fundraising activities and campaigns 

  • Experience of online/social media community management  - Experience of working on PR or media focussed initiatives
