Job Description

The Production Coordinator will be a key part of the Content Co and Story Hub team and will assist the Senior Production Manager in day-to-day running of budget, schedule and deliverables of content production across all Comic Relief platforms. Facilitate the creative production teams and story gathering teams to ensure smooth, safe and stress-free production!

Key responsibilities:

Production:

  • Putting together call sheets and schedules for both UK and International recces and shoots

  • Researching & booking travel logistics and accommodation (UK & International)

  • Working with international fixers

  • Booking kit and arranging carnets where needed

  • Managing filming permissions, country visas and press accreditations

  • Float & expenses (requesting float, reconciling float and credit cards)

  • Managing consent forms – logging and filing

  • Assisting on UK shoots (location or studio)

  • Maintaining productions schedule & edit schedule

  • Managing contact bible

  • Assisting on UK shoots (location or studio)

  • Asset Gathering – assisting with talent

  • Booking couriers

Kit/Edits:

  • Look after in-house kit/drives/edit suites

  • Purchasing new kit

  • Booking out Comic Relief kit & drives on kit calendar and drive log

  • Outsourcing kit for UK and International shoots

  • Dealing with repairs

  • Dealing with Support Partners with troubleshooting edit issues and upgrades

  • Liaising with freelance editors, booking when needed and completing request for resource paperwork

Post-Production:

  • Ingesting rushes and drives

  • Manage the archive as well as dealing with footage requests/links/footage sales

  • Managing deliverables in and out from/to CR/BBC/Production Companies

  • Post-production paperwork

  • Logging and processing music clearances (commercial and BBC Fastclear)

  • Logging and processing archive clearances

  • Logging all archive/assets onto Nesbit database

  • Booking VO and Mix with Post-Prod Houses as well as negotiating rates

  • Booking freelance editors (helping them get set up/and showing processes in the edit on first day)

  • Making DVD’s for contributors

  • Outsourcing translations

  • Filing away Overnights – Dealing with viewing figures requests

Essential Skills and Competencies:

  • Good understanding of ALL stages of production

  • Experience in working on multiple broadcast/online projects simultaneously

  • Technical skills, Premier knowledge and confident with rushes management a real plus

  • Ability to work proactively and effectively as part of a busy production team
