Job Description

PURPOSE

The ECB run several websites, apps, email membership programmes and over 50 social media channels, across a wide variety of teams, brands and consumer platforms from the playground to Test Matches via The Hundred.

We’re opening up this exciting role to lead on creative video production. You will be a vital part of the ECB’s ambitious and evolving Digital department, and will work closely with video production agencies, broadcasters, marketing and communications teams and local venues, and be responsible for managing high profile content. Especially important will be producing content to promote and grow the women's game and The Hundred.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Taking responsibility for the day to day running of the video content production across the ECB, managing the workload of retained agencies, budgets, staying on top of the edit delivery and feedback processes, and helping juggle priorities.

  • Teaming with digital content editors to develop ideas and briefs for content suitable for all ECB and third-party distribution channels.

  • Commissioning and managing highlights production workstreams.

  • Facilitating the delivery of partner digital rights, in collaboration with key internal stakeholders (Commercial Partnerships, Marketing and Communications departments), to add value to existing and potential future partnerships.

  • Ensuring all legal requirements are covered for production – releases, licences, insurance etc.

  • Reviewing content produced using social and website analytics and sharing performance insights to constantly improve ECB output.

  • Using your attention to detail, communication and organisational skills to build trust and respect across the organisation.

 

YOU’LL HAVE

  • A keen sense for what makes brilliant video.

  • 5+ years experience in professional production, ideally in sport entertainment.

  • A great understanding of the technical elements of all levels of video production.

  • A mobile first content approach.

  • Proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility and good humour, and an understanding that, due to the nature of the role, you will occasionally work unsociable hours.

  • Confidence dealing with players, team management, leading officials, and sports participants at all levels.
