Job Description

The Fundraising Associate will work closely with the Fundraising Manager, and manage the Fundraising Assistant, to help maximise fundraising for the Sport Relief 2020 campaign.

Key Accountabilities / Objectives

  • Deliver stewardship programme for high value fundraisers to ensure they have the best possible experience in order to maximise fundraising potential.

  • Create and deliver thanking strategy for community fundraising audience.

  • Work with the Fundraising Manager on key additional community fundraising projects and initiatives where needed, including project management and delivering aspects of wider projects.

  • Lead on the sourcing, managing and sharing of stand out fundraising case studies for use across the campaign.

  • Be an expert in competitor analysis, fundraising regulation and best practice for the wider team and organisation.

  • Attend events and visit fundraising events on behalf of Comic Relief and act as representative of charity.

  • Analyse data to help identify top fundraisers, high potential fundraisers and fundraising case studies for additional stewardship, support and recognition across community and workplace audiences.

  • Line manage the Fundraising Assistant in the Schools and Fundraising Team.

Essential Education and Skills

  • Experience of working in a fundraising department within a charity setting

  • Experience with high value fundraising stewardship with proven results

  • Experience of cross-team working and senior stakeholder engagement

  • Experience of working with data and data compliance to drive insight and results

  • Project management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communications, written and oral

  • Analytical and inquisitive orientation
