Job Description

This important and exciting role will manage the provision of analysis and reporting across business teams within the ECB.  Primarily working with Commercial teams you will be focused on providing analysis that underpins our fan engagement plans, embedding a performance reporting capability and ultimately working to realise our ambition to become a data-driven organisation. 

You will work closely with the Technology, Strategy and business teams to ensure that analysis is joined up, impactful and driving good decision making.  You will work alongside the Digital Audience Manager  to ensure that digital and wider business insights are joined up and actioned effectively.  You will also lead on the adoption of our new reporting and visualisation tool to ensure that activity is measured, understood and constantly improved.

YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Owning the adoption of Looker as the primary reporting and visualisation tool for business teams across the ECB. 

  • You will bring consistency and rigour to the measures used to understand performance and put in place the necessary ways of working to ensure that they are reported on and actioned effectively.

  • You will be able to create and administer dashboards for teams and provide commentary on performance that explains what happened and what we need to do differently.

  • You will act as the owner for reporting and measurement, constantly looking to improve the measures in place (e.g. leading indicators) and acting as the expert on visualisation.

  • Work with teams to understand how and where analysis is needed to support and shape their plans, proactively seeking out opportunities from our data to deliver measurable value.

  • Scoping analysis projects and then delivering impactful analysis that is insightful and actionable.

  • Work with the Enterprise Data Manager and Technology teams to shape the Data Lake strategy to ensure that the data can be analysed and activated.

  • Providing Commercial leadership with regular reporting and analysis that explains performance and identifies actions for course correction.

    YOU’LL HAVE

  • Strong experience of scoping, creating and delivering analysis projects in a commercial environment.

  • Strong hands-on experience of using and administering reporting tools such as Looker, PowerBI and Tableau.

  • Excellent analysis and insight skills with the ability to link and interrogate data sets and provide analysis that is impactful and actionable.

  • Experience of defining a reporting framework for defining measures across business teams and putting in place the necessary forums and processes to ensure the right information is provide to the right people, at the right time and in an actionable format.

  • Excellent report building and visualisation skills with the ability to create dashboards and reports that are impactful and actionable.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with a strong ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent data manipulation skills with the ability to link, transform and analyse data sets.

  • Experience of using a range of analytical and reporting tools.

  • A good understanding of data management and strategy principles.
