the opportunity

We are looking for a National Sales Manager to join us here at eve Sleep. You will be a crucial member of the Commercial team, reporting to the Commercial Director, and responsible for the entire trade, retail and B2B function.

This will involve being the primary point of contact for our existing wholesale partners, some of the largest retailers in the UK, and winning and scaling new opportunities to deliver profitable and sustainable growth within our retail arm of the business. You’ll be responsible for leading the B2B strategy internally and acting as a key brand ambassador in all external communications.

Along with the Commercial team, you will collaborate with other internal teams, particularly the Operations, Brand and Category Management teams, to offer the best experience for our partners and implement strategies for growth.

day to day stuff: -

  • Nurture the relationships with our existing wholesale partners and their customers

  • Drive new business and retailer-centric strategies within these channels, including developing joint business plans & bespoke range plans

  • Scope opportunities for new business in the broader B2B category

  • Lead on the end-to-end operational implementation of new accounts, including owning commercial terms, joint business plans and budgeting

  • Manage, lead and develop our Trade & Partnerships Executive.

  • Tailor the incredible eve Sleep product range to create bespoke offerings and product proposals, including exploring product collaborations and licensing opportunities where relevant

  • Forecast, report and manage budgets for these customers, including full accountability for the P&L of each account

  • Creation of weekly reports to the wider business at trading meetings, pulling out key discussions points, e.g. sales performance & key trends

  • Influence collaborations with our wholesale partners; ensuring brand exposure both in-store and online

  • Co-create and execute channel and partner strategies, ensuring we have the tools, products and margins we need to grow for the long term.

  • Responsible for stock management for our wholesale partners in line with targets and forecasts, including working with our Operations team to ensure stock availability across key accounts

  • Proactively work with the wholesale partners to ensure best in class visual merchandising on product listings

  • Ensure all day-to-day account challenges are dealt with effectively and efficiently with a customer-centric approach

  • Run promotional post-evaluation and optimisation throughout the year to drive ROI understanding across our portfolio of partners.

  • Always keeping a close eye on industry and competitor activity to ensure our strategic commercial vision is in line with market demands in the constantly changing, competitive environment that we work in.

what we will love about you: -

  • Previous background in a B2B sales, ideally within retail e-commerce equally you could come from a background in retail homewares or furniture buying for a retailer

  • Experience owning a budget along with forecasting and P&L management

  • Strong commercial skills - this role will involve contract negotiations, JBPs, commercial agreements and budgeting with our wholesale partners

  • A skilled negotiator with the ability to plan and deliver multi-faceted trade negotiations shown through experience with partners in previous roles

  • You capture a room with your excellent presentation skills and possess the attention to detail for creating visually impactful presentations

  • You’ll be keen to spot opportunities and design new strategies within this role to promote growth in the B2B sector

  • Excellent internal and external customer relationship management, communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

  • A natural leader with the ability to motivate and develop a team

  • A natural at building relationships and strong communication skills with people at all levels.

  • You will be well practised at using your initiative, have a can-do attitude, and always want to learn and grow.

  • A self-starter and a contagious spirit to build the best brand we can. However, you will be highly collaborative and work closely with the rest of the business, with everyone playing their part.
