Job Description

PURPOSE

This exciting role in the ECB Events Department will encompass a wide-ranging remit coordinating the ECB’s day to day media operational requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely the Broadcast Manager, Accreditation Manager and ECB Communications team and with a range of internal and external stakeholders including venue media managers to deliver the highest possible standards in Media Operations.

  • YOU’LL BE DOING

    The Events department lead across the media operations functional area.

  • Liaise with the Head of Venue Management and Venue Managers to review and plan media facilities across all 18 FCCs and the MCC to ensure their operations and facilities align with High Profile and Domestic Operations Manual as well as identifying gaps and future considerations.

  •  Develop all relevant pre-season planning such as preparing venue guides, press conference setups, press capacity numbers, photographer numbers and space, catering budgets, parking details and liaising with venues to ensure every aspect is prepared in advance of match days.

    Liaise with the accreditation team in relation to the opening of the online media portal as well as confirming non-rights media attendance across the season.

  • Communicate with non-rights media across the season to answer queries, provide venue information, and attendance details.

    Deliver media operations on site across a variety of ECB cricket, including international matches, the Hundred and other domestic matches.

  • Liaise closely with the Communications department to deliver consistent messaging to the media

  • Build and develop relationships on match day with the cricket media and photographers

 YOU’LL HAVE

  • At least 3-5 years Media Operations experience at sporting events or tournaments, with cricket knowledge a distinct advantage.

  • Exceptional communication and decision-making skills, liaising with a variety of important stakeholders at all levels of the business, with a focus on achieving operational efficiencies.

  • A strong attention to detail in the preparation of planning documents, communications and reports.

  • A Team player approach, be resourceful and possess the ability to demonstrate initiative; still seeking advice or support when required.

  • Excellent people skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships

  • A proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and good humour; understanding the ever-changing events environment which will include unsociable hours.

  •  A clean and valid Driving License is preferred.
