Job Description

PURPOSE

The ECB digital team run several websites, apps, email membership programmes and over 50 social media channels, across a wide variety of teams, brands and consumer touchpoints to an audience of over ten million cricket fans globally.

We’re opening up this exciting role to support our England Men’s and Women’s digital output, delivering high quality content to enhance all ECB digital channels and to grow our audience and reach. Working closely with the rest of the Content team, England players and management, this role will be a vital part of our ambition to grow the game while engaging with our current fans and audiences.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Supporting the delivery of ECB’s coverage of England Men’s and Women’s teams, from assisting with planning and generating ideas, to publishing and posting to ensure our ‘always-on’ approach on owned and operated platforms is realised.

  • Covering selected England Men’s and Women’s matches and training sessions on the ground across the summer.

  • Working closely with digital content editors, digital content manager, digital audience manager and agencies to produce editorial, photo and video content for ECB channels.

  • Assisting with the content calendar for England Men’s and Women’s content and assisting in forward planning around major events, competitions and series.

  • Supporting on, and scheduling of, other production requirements across ECB’s digital channels to support internal requests and editorial, social and video plans.

  • Maintaining and updating content display on the website.

  • Using your attention to detail, organisational and communication skills to build strong relationships with the England Men's and Women's players and management as well as internal stakeholders.

 

YOU’LL HAVE

  • A passion for digital content production and cricket.

  • 2+ years experience in digital content, ideally in sport entertainment.

  • Confidence building trust with players and team management in an elite sporting environment.

  • An understanding that you will work unsociable hours and could spend much of your time away from home.

  • A mobile first content approach.

  • Creative ideas on how to grow the profile of the England Men’s and Women’s team and players and reach our target audiences.

  • Confidence with written editorial, social copy, publishing tools, photoshop and basic video filming and editing.

  • Proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility and good humour.
